WIF is a non-profit membership-based organization that was started in South Africa in November 2005 in response to a lack of financial literacy and access to finance of individuals and business owners. It has since broadened into an organisation offering various small business development services to both male and female owned businesses.

WIF exists to innovatively create an environment that empowers individuals to develop successful businesses throughout Africa through collaboration, support, diversity and challenge.
