Executive Summary
Oemie’s Tour was registered by Hajira Ganie, a THETA accredited tourist guide since 2006 that saw an opportunity in using responsible tourism to sustain the economic growth of South Africa. Hajira was nominated as one of the finalists in “Celebrating Woman in Tourism” hosted by the City of Cape Town in 2008 and as one of the finalists in “National Tourist Guide Celebration” hosted by the department of Economic Development and Tourism in 2009. In 2010, she was among the semi finalist for the 2010/2011 ETEYA awards.
